Hola! Welcome to the first installment of News from the Nest – a little smattering of posts about what is going on in Scobeyland (which, contrary to what Those Other People say, is the happiest place on Earth).
A couple of weeks ago we celebrated our little Evie’s first birthday in Scobey Style (that’s code for HEAVY AMOUNTS OF GLUCOSE INVOLVED).
We had a lot of precious family travel far and wide to come party down with us:
The Most-dedicated-traveler award goes to Miss Sofa-lina-lofa: Evie’s best gal pal/cousin, who came all the way from Southern California to see us. She has a strange name… I know. Go talk to her parents about it.
The house was all done up in pink and yellow puffs, and we celebrated with the best theme we could think of: desserts.
The cake was made by one of my good friends of Cakes on the Corner… and it was deeeeeelish!
Don’t worry; we had a salty-foods-bar to prevent people from slipping into a sugar-coma:
And the sweetest birthday girl in the galaxy… who is going to make a fabulous assistant shooter with her new Elmo Camera.
