When we moved here in 2016 we had only done a handful of elopements. The markets that we built our business in before (Connecticut and Georgia) weren’t hubs for elopements, so we were thrilled to get to start shooting more intimate weekday Weddings when we moved to Colorado. Elopements are some of our favorite celebrations in the World – they are so filled with meaning and they have a warmth and closeness to them that we love being a part of. Over the past 16 months we’ve had the priviledge of shooting dozens of Weddings, and today we are sharing some of our very favorite elopement spots in Colorado:

#1: Rocky Mountain National Park: This Colorado landmark and National Park is not only stunning, it’s HUGE. We love that the landscape varies so drastically and that you can find mountains, trees, water and snow all in one location.

#2: T Lazy 7 Ranch: Not only is T Lazy 7 one of the most picturesque ranches we’ve ever been to, but they are some of the kindest people ever. There are several different location options available at the ranch, and we love that it provides a bit more privacy than eloping in a park or other public place.#1: T Lazy 7 Ranch:

#3: Great Sand Dunes National Park: If you’re looking for an elopement location that is unique, the Great Sand Dunes is the perfect spot for you. This vast and gorgeous (albeit sandy) spot is different than any other you’ll find, and the landscape makes for some pretty powerful images.

#4: Crested Butte: If you’ve never been to this amazing mountain town, put it on your list. We love Crested Butte for elopements because it’s not too remote. You can easily elope at Mount Crested Butte and then be a 2 mile drive to tacos, donuts and celebratory wine. It’s the perfect way to be able to share a beautiful view and an adorable in-town experience with any family who are along for your elopement.

#5: Alta Lakes in Telluride: If you are looking for a place near the water for your elopement, this might be the right option for you. Aptly named for the high altitude lakes, this Telluride local is absolutely breathtaking (especially in the Fall). It’s the perfect spot for an elopement!
