Here’s the thing about Weddings – they aren’t supposed to be perfect. That might seem shocking, especially with cultures best efforts to make us believe that they are supposed to be completely and totally perfect. Weddings, though, are just like the people and the families who make them happen – they are at their best when you get to see the realness, the beautiful mess, the imperfections. It’s what makes us human, and it’s how we connect. Last weekend we got to be a part of Kimie and Nick’s Lionsgate Events Center Wedding and my absolute favorite part of their celebration was how true to them it was. They didn’t care about perfection – they cared about the people, the relationships, and the why behind their day. Those priorities came across in every single moment, and it was absolutely incredible to witness.
