Family Shoot: The Tuleys

June 29, 2010

I believe in miracles; that there are things that defy logic and science and fact. Internet, you are looking at an adorable, 17-month-old miracle:

At 20 weeks Jacob was diagnosed with a rare malformation of the diaphragm. He was given a 10% chance of taking his first breath. And… well… Jacob not only took his first breath, but he took his first bottle, slept through his first night, gave his first smile, rolled over for the first time, crawled, took his first steps, and continuously lights up the lives of everyone he meets. He. Is. PHENOMENAL.

Jacob’s Mom and Gramma braved the humid Atlanta morning and provided lots of hand-holding and cuddles.

Does he not have the cutest smile ever? Yes… yes he does!

You can follow Julie’s blog about their family’s journey. She and Jeff are truly amazing, and they challenge me to be a better, more patient parent.

Jacob: Thank you for sharing your light with us. You are such an amazing little dude and we enjoyed getting to spend the morning with you. We are excited to get to watch you grow… Life surely has gigantic plans for you!!
