When I think of what it means to be a good big brother, I feel strongly that it’s totally adequate to just not kill your siblings. At least, that’s what I thought until I met Seth. He takes being a good brother to the next level… and then ten levels after that… complete with Mario sounds and extra lives. He is that awesome.

He absolutely adores his sister. And makes her laugh. And plays with her. VOLUNTARILY. The most I ever volunteered to do was dress my brother up in doll’s clothes… and bang pots and pans outside his room when he got headaches. Compared to me, Seth is like the Dalai Lama of siblings…

These two are really lucky to have one another.

Seth is a baseball player; he has been playing for years and he absolutely loves it.

Sophie is starting to compete in pageants, but not in the I-have-fake-eyelashes-and-teeth way… more in the I’m-so-stinkin’-cute-how-could-I-not-share-my-beauty kind of way. She’s also a total ham… which we LOVED.

Hanging out with these two was an absolute joy. Brown Family: if you’re ever in the market for an honorary child just give me a call… I’ll gladly hyphonate my name and everything!

I think I need to go apologize to my brother now…
