Maybe some good paths are straight. Maybe some good paths have signs and no rocks and the way is paved and clear. In my experience, though, any view worth getting to requires a climb. These two have something really, really beautiful. Their paths twisted and wound and, at times, ran completely parallel but didn’t intersect until exactly the right time.

The way they love each other – the way they see each other. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing. And their road has been the kind with brambles and turns and challenges. But this view… this view has been worth the climb. And as Allan looked into Laura’s eyes and promised to see her, really see her, forever, all I could think through the tears welling up in my eyes was that this kind of love looked pretty amazing on them. There were so many things that made their Summer Wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch special, but the most important thing is that they were together.
