I kind of think that most things worth doing should give you butterflies. I didn’t used to think that. I used to think that most things worth doing should fit neatly within the lines of your day planner and give you chocolate and a good night sleep. But I’m pretty much over that. Now, in this season of our lives, I feel like embracing the messy and the beautiful; the scary and the awesome – because you can’t have one without the other.
Half-living is for the half-alive. And we just aren’t satisfied with that (even though we do have a strange fascination with zombies). This February, we have been invited to speak at the Inspire Photo Retreat, a photography conference held where it all started for us (New England, y’all!). We are incredibly blessed and excited and absolutely riddled with butterflies – so we know it’s going to be a lot of fun.
We are going to be talking about an incredibly important facet of the fully-lived life: dreams. You are a dreamer. This much we know. You may have giant, pie-in-the-sky dreams, or you may dream of “practical”, concrete things like filling your calendar with clients who trust you as an artist. Whatever form your dreams take, we are all working towards changing the World in our own way. And then we get bogged down. With work, family, schedules, cleaning, organizing, carpool, finances – the day-to-day can drown the dreamer in you. Our class will equip you with the skills to give that dreamer a life raft. We will talk about how to selectively choose your input and set yourself up for dreaming and doing; to alter the systems that stifle you, and to create new systems that help you tap into your incredible potential for creativity and turn those dreams into realities, one beautiful, passionate, purposeful step at a time.
Click here to register for three days of awesomeness and butterflies. And, most importantly, karaoke!! We absolutely, positively cannot wait to see you there.
