Story and relationship. These are the two cornerstones of what we do. These are the things that drive every long day and shutter click – weekends of travel and late nights – for us, it’s all about story and relationship.

And sometimes that can be uncomfortable. unplanned. imperfect.

Every once in a while we will come upon a moment that is almost too raw – almost too real – but it begs to be told in it’s entirety. Sometimes it leaves us feeling like interlopers; like two people who are called to document and steal something from now in order to save it for later – for posterity – for generations to come. Those moments are raw because they are important. Because they are delicate. Because they are fleeting.

We know that the most personal, raw moments in our lives are the ones that have facilitated growth in the deepest parts of us. We know that the closest relationships in our lives can bring the most joy and the most pain.

All of these moments are a beautiful part of the story. Perhaps they are the best part.
