When we found out that Meredith and Alex’s beautiful Atlanta Athletic Club Wedding was going to be featured on Every Last Detail, we were giddy. There is not a Wedding Day on the planet that we were more excited about reliving. Not because the details were stunning (which they were) or the location was breath-taking (which it was) but because this day made our hearts feel so full that it’s difficult to put it into words. This amazing group of people took us in as family and let themselves feel this day so very deeply. They reflected what it looks like to love others well, and we got to capture that in a very real, honest way.

You think you know what family means. You might think it’s what you’re born into… or the people you live with. And then you meet a family like this one, and they completely redefine the word. Family is loving people so much, with such conviction, that you can be strong for them when they aren’t – that you can bear pain for them when they can’t – that you can ease deep suffering with a smile. Family is a choice to put others above yourself, and to embody the idea that love is not self-serving. Family is feeling so deeply that it hurts, and never letting fear get in the way of relationship. This Wedding was a celebration of what it really, truly means to be family, and we were so incredibly blessed to be a part of every minute of it.
