I remember a time in this industry when educational messages were built around should’s and can’ts and don’ts. We would go to an event and leave feeling defeated, like our dreams just weren’t big enough to climb over the wall that was in front of us. It was frustrating, and it stuck to the parts of us that didn’t believe in our own abilities. Until we started to find groups that were different – tribes of incredible people who built messages around running wholeheartedly after what matters – and doing it together. Last month we were blessed to be a part of a weekend where encouragement was shared and life-giving words were spoken. And I saw this industry shift in such a real, tangible way – in such a clear light – and it was wonderful. Friends, there is no right way to be a creative, but it certainly can’t be done well in isolation. We need each other, and we are beyond grateful for events like Creative at Heart for being such a beacon of positivity and possibility; a catalyst for meaningful community and a source of real, lasting change.
